We are excited to announce the successful launch of the SuFI initiative by Univlabs, which took place at FMRI, Gurugram on July 10, 2024. This groundbreaking event gathered over 35 leading surgeons and innovators, all dedicated to redefining the future of surgical care.
Themed “Uniting Surgeons, Redefining Innovation,”the SuFI event created a collaborative environment for surgeons, innovators, and researchers to share insights and strategies for integrating innovation into clinical practice and the broader medical technology landscape.
Highlights of the event included expert presentations from Dr. Anil Mandhani and Dr. Preeti, who discussed the vital role of surgeons in technological advancements and the significance of intellectual property in fostering innovation.
One of the standout innovations showcased was the amSafeX catheter, a groundbreaking development in urinary catheter technology designed to enhance patient safety and comfort. Unlike traditional catheters, which often present challenges such as discomfort and infection risks, the amSafeX catheter prioritizes patient well-being through its advanced design features.
The event was opened by Dr. Pooja Sharma, Project Head of SuFI, who warmly welcomed all delegates, setting the tone for a day filled with insightful exchanges and visionary discussions.
Dr. Ashutosh Raguvanshi, MD and CEO of Fortis Healthcare, emphasized the critical role of innovation in enhancing healthcare outcomes. Dr. Suman Gupta, CEO of BSC BioNest, illustrated how bio-incubators are essential in supporting health tech startups.
Additionally, Mr. Rupinder Singh, COO of Univlabs, shared strategies for navigating the financial landscape of medical startups, highlighting the importance of strategic capital raising. Mr. Rahul Bagga, a specialist in Intellectual Property & Corporate Law, offered valuable insights on protecting innovations through patents and legal frameworks.
